White glazed ceramic shard

The crazing on the glaze of this ceramic sherd is from thermal shock, the repeated heat and cold experienced by something like a pie dish, that goes in and out of the oven. The glaze expands when heated then shrinks again when cooled, but much faster than the ceramic, so it crackles all over and absorbs the gravy.
